Note to the Press: Please include the following statement from State Rep. Jim Pressel (R-Rolling Prairie) in your coverage of the Next Level Roads Plan announced recently by Gov. Eric Holcomb:

STATEHOUSE (July 14, 2017) – “With the numerous accidents occurring on Highway 20, it is critical we address safety concerns on this and other Hoosier roadways. The General Assembly voted to invest in Indiana’s infrastructure, and the work that will be done to our roads and bridges will increase safety while taking Indiana to the ‘next level.’ Over the next five years, LaPorte County will receive more than $78 million and Starke County will receive more than $19 million. This funding will be put toward resurfacing 450 miles of roads, put in new traffic signals and rehabilitate 37 bridges.”

State Rep. Jim Pressel represents House District 20,
which includes portions of LaPorte and Starke counties.
