STATEHOUSE (Oct. 2, 2024) State Rep. Kyle Pierce (R-Anderson) recently honored Gary and Toni Morris of Anderson with a proclamation recognizing their decades of volunteerism in the community during a presentation on Thursday at the Park Place Community Center.

Gary and Toni, both retirees from Delco Anderson, have been longtime volunteers at Park Place Food Pantry and Madison Park Church. Gary has also helped Habitat for Humanity and used his carpentry skills to assist others while Toni has coordinated special events and served with First Choice and Wesleyan Church. The couple has also provided financial support to causes throughout the Anderson community.

"The Morris' dedication and tireless efforts have made a difference in the lives of so many in Anderson and Madison County," Pierce said. "Their passion to serve our community is truly inspiring."

The proclamation formally recognizes volunteers who consistently show a strong drive of service and philanthropy through their contributions to the community.
