STATEHOUSE (Dec. 20, 2018) – State Rep. Curt Nisly (R-Milford) encourages students who want to learn more about state government to participate in the Indiana House Page Program during the 2019 legislative session.
According to Nisly, those who are between the ages of 13 to 18 can spend a day at the Statehouse in Indianapolis helping staff and local legislators, touring government offices, and learning about the legislative process.
“The page program is the perfect opportunity for students interested in government to see how the state legislature works,” Nisly said. “Pages will witness legislative proceedings in the House Chamber and experience the excitement of session within the state Capitol building. I invite all young Hoosiers from our area to apply and learn about the legislative process firsthand.”
Nisly said student pages receive an excused absence from school and groups can participate together. For more information and to sign up, visit www.indianahouserepublicans.com/pageprogram or call 800-382-9841.
The 2019 legislative session begins Thursday, Jan. 3, and must conclude by April 30.
State Rep. Curt Nisly (R-Milford) represents House District 22, which
includes portions of Kosciusko and Elkhart counties.
