Rep. Morris represents District 84 with a strong voting record

STATEHOUSE-State Rep. Bob Morris (R-Fort Wayne) represented District 84 with a strong voting record this session. His vote record was 99.85% percent for the 2011 Legislative session.  There were a total of 647 votes this session.

"I take the responsibility of representing District 84 very seriously and know that each vote could potentially affect a community member.  It was important to me that I be present to represent the constituents I serve," said Rep. Morris.

On the House floor, members will vote to adopt committee reports, amendments and other various motions. Legislation addressed this session included economic development, redistricting and the state budget.

Often, committee hearings and legislative meetings are scheduled during the time the House chamber is in session, thus making it difficult for members to be present. In addition, members will sometimes step off the House floor to have the opportunity to meet with constituents or community leaders to further discuss important issues facing their local area.

"Legislative duties often call members off the House floor, but I worked hard this session to be present for votes so that I could be my constituents' voices at the Statehouse," said Rep. Morris.
