STATEHOUSE – “I am pleased to know that Purdue President Daniels supports the re-classification of IPFW’s campus from regional to metropolitan. Fort Wayne is the second largest city in Indiana, and the world-class campus which resides there deserves to be recognized as such.

“Currently, I have legislation which has been referred to the Education Committee and if enacted, would put IPFW into the metropolitan campus classification. I have been working diligently with IU, Purdue and IPFW to make this much needed change possible.  With this change, the funding avenues for IPFW will be altered to ensure they are functioning at the high speed that their students deserve.

“It is an honor to be a part of a community which holds post-secondary education to the highest standards possible, and I look forward to the progress this will make in the next few months.”

Rep. Morris represents portions of Allen County. He serves as the Vice Chairman of Commerce, Small Business and Economic Development Committee and is a member of Employment, Labor and Pensions and Roads and Transportation Committees.
