STATEHOUSE (June 23, 2016) – State Rep. Doug Miller (R-Elkhart) will be serving on the Interim Study Committee on Commerce and Economic Development.

In preparation for the 2017 legislative session, which begins in January, interim study committee members meet to examine assigned topics, gather testimonies and identify potential legislation.

“While Indiana’s economy is making great strides, there is always more work to do. I’ll continue to support policies that create an environment where job creators can thrive and ultimately hire more Hoosiers,” Miller said. “I will keep an open mind to the different ideas presented in order to attract high-wage jobs and boost the Hoosier economy.”

Miller said interim study committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online at iga.in.gov. This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas. Members of the public are also welcomed to attend.
