STATEHOUSE – “During the State of the State Address, I was encouraged by Governor Pence highlighting his continued commitment to focus on growing the economy and creating jobs in our state. Our economy is strong and growing stronger which is a reflection of our leadership that recognizes the need to live within our means.
“This session, one of the biggest tasks before us is to create an honestly balanced budget that does not spend more than we bring in – a budgeting principle that every Hoosier family must live by. While our budget will primarily focus on education, it is important to remember that without our continued fiscal integrity, we can do little to improve education or focus on our other strategic priorities.”
