STATEHOUSE – State Representative Doug Miller (R-Elkhart) congratulates Mid-City Supply Company, Inc. in Elkhart County for receiving the Governor’s Half Century Business Award.

“Mid-City Supply Company has been family-owned and operated for 67 years,” said Rep. Miller. “Over the years, they have expanded to serve not only our community, but much of Michiana as well, and I am pleased to see them recognized for their continued success.”

The Governor’s Century and Half Century Business Awards program honors Indiana businesses that have remained in operation for at least 100 or 50 years and have demonstrated a history of community service. More than 1,400 companies from across the state have been recognized during the 25-year history of the award.

Mid-City Supply Company, a supporter of the United Way, started in 1947 and supplies contractors with plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, PVF and industrial products.

“Maintaining a business for more than half a century is no easy feat,” said Rep. Miller. “Through the highs and lows of the economy, Mid-City Supply Company has played an important role in our community and continues to give back to our local charitable organizations. This award is one small way to recognize their efforts.”
