Miller honors Elkhart Lions Club for contributions to community
STATEHOUSE (May 11, 2016) – State Rep. Doug Miller (R-Elkhart) today honored the Elkhart Lions Club for their contributions to the community.
Miller presented members with a resolution in a ceremony at the Christiana Creek Country Club.
Since its formation in 1923, the nonprofit organization has dedicated itself to numerous community service projects, with a special focus on helping people who are visually challenged.
“By providing financial assistance to those in need, conducting vision screenings and even processing used glasses for mission groups in Mexico, among other things, the Elkhart Lions Club is making a significant impact,” Miller said. “It’s an honor to recognize them today.”
