STATEHOUSE (Aug. 28, 2025) – State Representative Chris May (R-Bedford) recently attended the White House State Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C. The conference was an opportunity for Indiana's elected officials and White House officials to foster collaboration and discuss the top issues affecting Hoosiers.
May welcomed the opportunity to meet with senior White House officials and Cabinet secretaries, including Vice President JD Vance, and said the conference offered ways for state legislators to explore how to strengthen Indiana's partnership with the President's Administration.
May said the meeting highlighted many policy areas where Indiana is leading the nation, including efforts to strengthen education, improve public safety and reduce bureaucracy.
"I appreciated the chance to have direct conversations with the Trump Administration about the needs of Hoosiers," May said. "Indiana is already partnering with the administration on several efforts and I'm excited to continue working together to create opportunities for Indiana."
The White House State Leadership Conference included a Q & A session with each speaker and agency representative.
