Manning co-authored the law to establish the Electric Vehicle Product Commission to evaluate and identify potential industry growth opportunities, and keep jobs in Indiana.
STATEHOUSE (Oct. 7, 2021) – "Our goal is for Indiana to be on the leading edge of electric vehicle technology. The global electric car race has taken off, and our state already has a solid infrastructure and workforce to build upon in order to be competitive in this market. By 2030, electric vehicles will take up a significant percentage of new vehicle sales, and this new commission is one way to ensure Indiana is positioned for innovation and manufacturers choose the Hoosier state to grow their operations and expand job opportunities."
