STATEHOUSE (March. 13, 2026) – Logansport native Casen Lake is gaining experience as an intern with State Rep. Ethan Manning (R-Logansport) and his fellow members of the Indiana House of Representatives during the 2026 legislative session.

Lake, a Logansport High School graduate, is the son of Nikki and Terry Lake. He is currently a junior at Ball State University and majoring in political science and minoring in economics.

"I really enjoy the day-to-day experience of the work I get to do, and the learning that comes with it," Lake said. "I also enjoy getting to work with all the staff and representatives and the opportunity to make professional connections."

As a policy intern, Lake conducts research, prepares committee reports and assists staff and lawmakers with legislative and fiscal inquiries.

“Casen has been a tremendous asset to our team this session,” Manning said. “His research skills and attention to detail have helped support thoughtful policy discussions on key issues.”

Each year, the Indiana House offers paid, full-time, spring semester internship opportunities to college students, recent graduates and students in graduate and law school during the legislative session.
