STATEHOUSE- “The 2015 legislative session was another victory for Hoosier taxpayers. With an unwavering commitment to fiscal integrity, we passed another honestly balanced budget without increasing taxes. By always remembering that the state’s financial resources represent hard-earned taxpayer money, we were careful to protect our AAA credit rating by not going into the red.”

“With responsible budgeting, we were able to provide the largest increase to education funding in our state’s history. Not only were we able to increase funding, but we also reduced the regulatory burdens on public school systems, focusing more dollars and resources on the classroom. Putting children first in education policy is critical for the future of our state.”
