STATEHOUSE (June 20, 2018) – State Rep. Matt Lehman (R-Berne) was recently selected to serve on the Alcohol Code Revision Commission, the Interim Study Committee on Financial Institutions and Insurance, and the Oral History Project Advisory Committee.

Lehman said these committees and commissions examine assigned topics, gather testimonies and can recommend potential legislation

“Interim study committees provide opportunities for lawmakers to take a comprehensive dive into complex issues ahead of the fast-paced legislative session,” Lehman said. “Appointments are often based on personal and professional interests, experiences and skill sets. I’ve been involved with the two-year study on Indiana’s alcohol code, as well as someone who has always appreciated the lessons we can learn from history, and I am an owner of an insurance company, so I am looking forward to using the upcoming months to further study assigned topics.”

Lehman said interim study committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online at This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas. Members of the public are welcomed to attend and testify.
