STATEHOUSE (Dec. 17, 2024) – State Rep. Cindy Ledbetter (R-Newburgh) received appointments to serve as a member of three key House committees.

Ledbetter was appointed as a member of the House Family, Children and Human Affairs Committee, the House Insurance Committee and the House Public Health Committee.

"As a nurse practitioner, I look forward to using my experience in the health care industry to help alleviate some of its challenges, such as affordability and access to care," Ledbetter said. "I look forward to representing our district in these committees at the Statehouse this session."

House standing committee appointments are made by the Indiana House Speaker biennially after the November election and are in effect for the duration of members' two-year terms.

House lawmakers are scheduled to convene at 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 8 for the first day of the 2025 legislative session. Hoosiers can visit iga.in.gov to find legislation, view calendars, and watch committee meetings and session.

Ledbetter encourages constituents to visit in.gov/h75 to sign up to receive e-newsletter updates about what’s happening at the Statehouse throughout the legislative session and beyond.
