Rep. Karickhoff supports the House budget
EDITOR’S NOTE: Please include the following statement from State Representative Mike Karickhoff (R-Kokomo) in your coverage of House Bill (HB) 1001 passing the House.
STATEHOUSE – “House Bill (HB) 1001 delivers an honestly balanced budget that increases education funding by the largest amount in Indiana’s history while still investing in key priorities like public safety.
“In addition, our budget invests $80 million over the biennium to help local communities provide alternatives to incarceration and reduce recidivism. It was a pleasure to co-author such crucial legislation that maintains Indiana’s stable fiscal environment while protecting Hoosier taxpayers.”
