Rep. Karickhoff appointed Deputy Speaker Pro Tempore
INDIANAPOLIS (Nov. 20, 2015) – House Speaker Brian C. Bosma (R-Indianapolis) appointed State Rep. Mike Karickhoff (R-Kokomo) as Deputy Speaker Pro Tempore.
“I am humbled to serve as Deputy Speaker Pro Tempore,” Karickhoff said. “I look forward to the new responsibilities and challenges this leadership position will bring, and I’m excited for the opportunity to serve the Hoosier state in this role.”
In this position Karickhoff will assist the Speaker Pro Tempore, as he performs the duties and responsibilities of the Speaker of the House in his absence. Karickhoff will also maintain his committee appointment as the Ways and Means Budget Subcommittee Chair during the 2016 legislative session.

State Rep. Mike Karickhoff serves as the Deputy Speaker Pro Tempore, the Budget Subcommittee Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee and on the Natural Resources Committee. He is also the Vice Chair of the Indiana Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations. Rep. Karickhoff represents portions of Howard and Grant counties, most of the city of Kokomo and the towns of Swayzee and Greentown.
