STATEHOUSE – “As my first State of the State Address, this was a particularly exciting and historic event for me. I was encouraged that Governor Pence once again stressed the importance of passing honestly balanced budget and ensuring that we live within our means. While our economy is growing, we must continue to maintain our healthy reserves, which is important in case of another economic crisis, as well as a strong structural surplus.
“I was also pleased the governor mentioned the importance of having the highest quality education system in the nation. With education a top priority for House Republicans, I am eager to work together and move Indiana forward in this area, which will better prepare students for the future.”
