STATEHOUSE (Dec. 27, 2017) — Applications are open for students interested in participating in the 2018 Indiana House Page Program during the legislative session, according to State Rep. Chris Judy (R-Fort Wayne).
Pages have an opportunity to join Judy during the legislative session and tour the governor’s office, the Indiana Supreme Court and the House and Senate chambers.
“Having the chance to learn and observe the lawmaking process while at the Statehouse provides students an amazing opportunity,” Judy said. “Pages will be able to help me in the House Chamber, and also aid my staff in daily tasks. I strongly encourage students in our community to apply.”
To be a page, applicants should be between the ages of 13 and 18. Judy said student pages receive an excused absence from school and groups can sign up to participate together.
The 2018 legislative session begins Wednesday, Jan. 3, and must conclude by March 14. Judy said page positions fill quickly and encouraged participants to apply early online at www.indianahouserepublicans.com/pageprogram or by calling 800-382-9841.
State Rep. Christopher Judy (R-Fort Wayne) represents House District 83, which includes portions of Whitley and Allen counties.
