Rep. Judy eager to serve

STATEHOUSE – House Speaker Brian C. Bosma (R-Indianapolis) announced the committee assignments for the 119th General Assembly. Standing committee assignments are made biennially after each election.

State Representative Christopher Judy (R-Fort Wayne) has been selected to serve on the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee, Natural Resource Committee and Veterans Affairs and Public Safety Committee.

“I am humbled to be selected to serve on these prestigious committees, and I am excited to start working on the issues that matter most to our community,” said Rep. Judy. “As a veteran, I know first-hand the issues facing our military and their families, and I look forward to what we can accomplish through these committees.”

Standing committees are an integral part of the legislative process. Committees with specific expertise receive public testimony and work out the details of proposed legislation before it is heard on the House Floor.

“I am confident in the abilities of each of these leaders, and I know they are all eager to begin their work,” said Speaker Bosma.
