STATEHOUSE (July 11, 2024) – State Rep. Jack Jordan (R-Bremen) recently received reappointment to serve on the State and Local Tax Review Task Force.

Interim committees meet throughout the summer and fall to explore and review policy issues and work together to identify solutions. Legislators will hear testimony from the public, various experts and stakeholders as they work on bill recommendations ahead of the budget session in January.

"We're continuing to take a comprehensive look at Indiana's overall financial position," Jordan said. "This means reviewing the state's already low debt obligations, pension funds and taxes to see how we can benefit Hoosiers the most and keep more money in their pocket."

Committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online on the General Assembly's website located at iga.in.gov.
