STATEHOUSE (March 13, 2026) – Indianapolis resident Jackson Ziegler is gaining experience as an intern with State Rep. Andrew Ireland (R-Indianapolis) and his fellow members of the Indiana House of Representatives during the 2026 legislative session.

Jackson is the son of Amy and Chad Ziegler. He graduated from the University of Indianapolis in 2025 with a major in business administration and a minor in legal studies.

"This is the perfect place to learn organizational skills," Ziegler said. "My ability to manage my time has also improved greatly since I started here."

As a legislative intern, Ziegler corresponds with constituents through phone calls, letters and emails while also staffing committee hearings and floor proceedings.

"I value interns who treat every task as a part of the learning experience," Ireland said. "That's exactly what we've seen from Jackson this session."

Each year, the Indiana House offers paid, full-time, spring semester internship opportunities to college students, recent graduates and students in graduate and law school during the legislative session.
