STATEHOUSE (Feb. 29, 2016) – State Rep. Todd Huston (R-Fishers) welcomes local residents, Christopher Carter, Josh Meier and Madeline Priest, to the Statehouse where they are interning with the House of Representatives during the 2016 legislative session.
Carter, a resident of Indianapolis, is the son of Steve and Marilyn Carter. A Heritage Christian High School graduate, Carter currently attends Purdue University where he is majoring in political science with a minor in economics.
Meier, a resident of Fishers, is the son of Steve and Judy Meier. A Fishers High School graduate, Meier attended Indiana University where he majored in public financial management.
Priest, a resident of Fishers, is the daughter of Tracy Priest and Kristi Knight. A Fishers High School graduate, Priest currently attends IUPUI where she is majoring in business management in SPEA.
As legislative interns, Carter, Meier and Priest correspond with constituents through phone calls, letters and emails. They also help staff committee hearings and floor proceedings.
The House of Representatives offers paid internship opportunities to college students, law-school students, graduate students and recent college graduates for the duration of each legislative session.
