Rep. Heaton: Vigo County student gaining experience with the legislature

STATEHOUSE (Feb. 22, 2016) – State Rep. Bob Heaton (R-Terre Haute) welcomes Vigo County resident, Brett Arnold, to the Statehouse where he is interning with the House of Representatives during the 2016 legislative session.

Arnold is the son of Bill and Gayle Arnold. A graduate of Terre Haute South Vigo High School, Arnold earned an undergraduate degree from Indiana State University. He is currently a second-year law student at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.

As an intern in the fiscal policy office, Arnold provides summaries of actions taken in the House Committee on Ways and Means, assists staff with analyzing legislative proposals and monitors all tax-related bills.

The House of Representatives offers paid internship opportunities to college students, law-school students, graduate students and recent college graduates for the duration of each legislative session.
