Note to the Editor: Please include the following statement from State Representative Bob Heaton (R-Terre Haute) in your coverage of Indiana House Speaker Brian C. Bosma’s (R-Indianapolis) announcement of the 2014 interim committee assignments.

STATEHOUSE – “I am honored to be appointed to serve on the Interim Study Committee on Commerce and Economic Development and the Interim Study Committee on Financial Institutions and Insurance.

“The medical device industry, a topic of discussion for the Interim Study Committee on Commerce and Economic Development, is particularly important to my district, home to Boston Scientific in Spencer and Cook Medical in both Bloomington and Spencer. Through extensive research, input from the public and thorough discussions, these committees are an integral part of the legislative process and provide a majority of the preparation for next year’s legislative session.”

Rep. Heaton represents portions of Clay, Monroe, Owen and Vigo counties.
