STATEHOUSE (March 11, 2026) – Morgan County native Megan Kath gained experience as an intern with State Rep. Craig Haggard (R-Mooresville) and his fellow members of the Indiana House of Representatives during the 2026 legislative session.
Kath, a Plainfield High School graduate, is the daughter of Angie and Chris Kath. She is currently a senior at Purdue University majoring in Law and Society and minoring in Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) and Communication.
"This internship has given me a hands-on experience in communications while helping build relationships," Kath said. "I enjoy seeing how communications play a role in connecting the public with the government."
As a communications intern, Kath writes news releases and e-newsletter updates and helps with social media, graphic design and audio/video production.
"Megan has been smart, steady and service-minded," Haggard said. "Interns like her remind me why I believe so strongly in investing in young leaders."
Each year, the Indiana House offers paid, full-time, spring semester internship opportunities to college students, recent graduates and students in graduate and law school during the legislative session.
