STATEHOUSE (June 16, 2026) – State Rep. Lori Goss-Reaves (R-Marion) was named Legislator of the Year by the Indiana Association for Home and Hospice Care (IAHHC).
IAHHC is a statewide trade association representing home health, hospice, and personal care providers across Indiana. The organization advocates for policies that support quality in-home care, strengthen the caregiver workforce, and improve access to services for patients and families statewide.
The award was presented during a recent IAHHC meeting and recognizes lawmakers who demonstrate strong support for Indiana’s home- and community-based care system.
"I am truly honored to receive this recognition from IAHHC," Goss-Reaves said. "Home health and hospice providers play a vital role in supporting patients and families during some of life’s most difficult moments, and I will continue working to ensure they have the resources, workforce support, and flexibility they need to provide high-quality care across Indiana."
IAHHC leadership said Goss-Reaves was selected for her commitment to strengthening Indiana’s long-term care system and her work supporting policies that improve access to home-based services.
This year, Goss-Reaves continued her work on health care policy by co-authoring House Enrolled Act 1277, which reforms Indiana's Medicaid long-term care system and strengthens the PathWays for Aging program to improve access to home- and community-based services for seniors and vulnerable adults. She also sponsored legislation addressing a range of health care matters.
Goss-Reaves said home health and hospice providers provide critical care for Hoosiers, while their compassion and dedication make a profound difference every day.
Founded in 1965, IAHHC represents hundreds of providers statewide and works to promote high standards of care, education, and advocacy within Indiana’s home and hospice care community.
