STATEHOUSE (June 23, 2016) – State Rep. Randy Frye (R-Greensburg) will be serving on the Interim Study Committee on Roads and Transportation.
In preparation for the 2017 legislative session, which begins in January, interim study committee members meet to examine assigned topics, gather testimonies and identify potential legislation.
“Maintaining our reputation as the Crossroads of America while keeping motorists safe is a top priority,” Frye said. “This panel will also look at the pros and cons of equipping Hoosier school buses with seat belts to ensure that our students are safe while traveling to and from school and to any school function.”
Frye said interim study committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online at iga.in.gov. This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas. Members of the public are also welcomed to attend.
Frye will also serve as a member of the Indiana Homeland Security Foundation, Integrated Public Safety Commission and the Military Base Planning Council.
