Frye: Switzerland County farm receives distinguished award
STATEHOUSE (March 28, 2016) – State Rep. Randy Frye (R-Greensburg) congratulates the Pavy, Lewis and Keith family from Switzerland County for their designation as a Hoosier Homestead Award recipient for 100 years of family farm ownership.
“Indiana’s agriculture industry brings more than $44 billion and 190,000 jobs to the state,” Frye said. “The Pavy, Lewis and Keith Farm made a significant investment in our state and have kept the tradition of family farms alive for more than a century. This is a great honor deserving of recognition.”
The Hooiser Homestead Award Program recognizes farms that have been owned and maintained by the same family for 100 years or more. The Pavy, Lewis and Keith Farm has been in operation since 1881.
