STATEHOUSE — State Rep. Bill Friend (R-Macy) congratulates McGrew's Well Drilling, Inc. in Fulton County for receiving the Governor’s Century Business Award. The award was presented by Governor Pence at the Indiana Statehouse.
“McGrew’s Well Drilling is a fifth generation, family-owned business that has served our community for 108 years,” said Rep. Friend. “Their commitment to serving our great state is worthy of this recognition.”
The Governor’s Century and Half Century Business Awards program honors Indiana businesses that have remained in operation for at least 100 or 50 years and have demonstrated a history of community service. More than 1,400 companies from across the state have been recognized during the 25-year history of the award.
McGrew's Well Drilling, a member of the Indiana Ground Water Association, started in 1907 and services well and pump systems.
“It takes a great deal of dedication to maintain a family business for over a century,” said Rep. Friend. “I have known the McGrew family for years and can personally attest to the quality of their work. The Governor’s Century Business Award is well deserved for their contribution to our community.”
