STATEHOUSE (July 14, 2017) – “More than $61 million will be going toward improving our local roads and bridges in the next five years as a direct result of the comprehensive, long-term roads plan enacted this session. Safety is a major concern when our infrastructure is not well maintained – not to mention the costly wear and tear to vehicles. With these funds, 38 bridges will be updated or replaced and 213 lane miles will be resurfaced. These improvements will be lasting and so will the boost to our state and local economies.”
