STATEHOUSE (Feb. 21, 2024) – Henry County native Ben Scott Loveless is gaining experience as an intern with State Rep. Cory Criswell (R-Middletown) and his fellow members of the Indiana House of Representatives during the 2024 legislative session.
Loveless, a New Castle High School graduate, is the son of Ben and Lisa Loveless. He graduated from Ball State University in December 2023 with a degree in marketing.
"This internship has provided countless opportunities to build relationships and develop professional skills," Loveless said. "I'm proud to have the opportunity to serve my fellow Hoosiers at the Statehouse in this way."
As a legislative intern, Loveless corresponds with constituents through phone calls, letters and emails while also staffing committee hearings and floor proceedings.
"Ben is learning great skills and forming connections that set the stage for a successful career," Criswell said. "The hard work he and our interns show daily helps legislators and their communities in so many ways."
At the start of each year, the House of Representatives offers paid internship opportunities to college students, law school students, graduate students and recent college graduates for the duration of the legislative session.
