Rep. Carbaugh applauds ceremonial signing of legislation benefiting military members
EDITOR’S NOTE: Please include the following statement from State Representative Martin Carbaugh (R-Fort Wayne) in your coverage of the ceremonial signings of House Enrolled Act 1456, the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act and Senate Enrolled Act 298, voluntary veterans’ preference employment policy.
STATEHOUSE - “As a representative serving on the Veterans Affairs and Public Safety Committee, I understand the importance of enacting legislation that benefits our Hoosier heroes. The Servicemembers Civil Relief Act, legislation I championed, will remove some of the burdens facing members of the Indiana National Guard while they are called to serve on a deployment or active duty. I am proud to have had an active role in working for our military members and providing them additional benefits as a thank you for serving our state and country.”
State Rep. Martin Carbaugh serves as Vice Chairman of the Insurance Committee. He also serves on the Employment, Labor and Pensions Committee and the Veterans Affairs and Public Safety Committee. Rep. Carbaugh represents a portion of Allen County.
