INDIANAPOLIS (Jan. 26, 2016) – State Rep. Bruce Borders (R-Jasonville) today honored members of the Sullivan High School Super Mileage Team at the Statehouse.
The team is a group of students who excel in building cars that get incredible miles per gallon. In fact, one of their cars achieved 1,899 miles per gallon. They compete against other high schools and even colleges from all around North and South America.
“Thanks to hard work, dedication and innovative thinking, this team has won the national championship for the third year in a row,” Borders said. “It’s an honor and privilege to lead fellow members of the House of Representatives in recognizing these Sullivan County students.”
Borders said Sullivan High School Super Mileage Team is already planning for their next competition this spring and working hard in an attempt to win a fourth national championship.
Rep. Borders (R-Jasonville) represents Sullivan, Knox, Greene, Vigo, and Daviess counties. He serves as Vice Chairman of the Veterans Affairs and Public Safety Committee.
