STATEHOUSE (April 3, 2025) – Knox County native Kyla Wolfe is gaining experience as an intern with State Rep. Bruce Borders (R-Jasonville) and his fellow members of the Indiana House of Representatives during the 2025 legislative session.
Wolfe, a North Knox High School graduate, is the daughter of Heather and Bryan Wolfe. Wolfe is set to graduate from Purdue University with a degree in agricultural economics and political science.
"As both a native Hoosier and an aspiring law student, the House legislative internship has been such an amazing opportunity," Wolfe said. "I get to see firsthand how laws are made and the genuine impact it has on Hoosiers all over the state."
As a legislative intern, Wolfe corresponds with constituents through phone calls, letters and emails while also staffing committee hearings and floor proceedings.
"Interns like Kyla are an important part of the legislative session by helping Hoosiers navigate state resources and assisting legislators and staff through the lawmaking process," Borders said. "She's getting a unique opportunity to gain essential skills and create connections that will help prepare her for her professional career."
At the start of each year, the House of Representatives offers paid internship opportunities to college students, law-school students, graduate students and recent college graduates for the duration of the annual legislative session.
