STATEHOUSE — State Rep. Dave Frizzell (R-Indianapolis) and fellow House Republicans met with local small business leaders in Indianapolis for the arrival of the National Federation of Independent Business’ (NFIB) “I Built My Business” bus tour stop on Oct. 24.

The bus tour is visiting seven states in an effort to provide a megaphone for the voices of the men and women of Main Street and to further amplify the critical role the small-business community plays in our economy. Roundtable discussions with local business owners and elected officials are planned to discuss the challenges of owning one’s own business and to remind elected officials, candidates and the public why the small-business vote matters.

“Small businesses are the backbone of our economy,” said Rep. Frizzell. “It’s important that we provide entrepreneurs with the opportunities to grow and thrive in Indiana. The hard work and determination required to build a business from the bottom up is a courageous undertaking that leads to greater efficiencies in the marketplace and innovation.”
