The Chamber's Vote Analysis is published after every legislative session and highlights the pro-economy, pro-jobs voting records for state lawmakers. The legislator's scores are determined by bills and select amendments' impact on the state's economy.
Rep. Pond scored a 93 percent for the 2011 session, showing proof of the large number of job-friendly bills that were introduced and passed by the House Republicans.
"I am a believer in legislation that promotes and supports Indiana businesses," said Rep. Pond. "My score reflects that I am in favor of legislation that creates a growing business environment in our state and develops jobs in our local communities."
Some pieces of legislation included in the analysis that the Indiana Chamber highlights were HEA 1004, which increases access to start-up capital for Indiana businesses and HEA 1006, which promotes economic development locally and regionally.
"It is crucial to find ways to increase the number of jobs and most importantly create a fiscally responsible economy in Indiana," said Rep. Pond. "I am pleased with my chamber score and will continue to advocate for bills that are pro-jobs and pro-economy."
