[r85] Rep. Pond Assigned to Interim Study Committee (8/21/2009)

(STATEHOUSE) - State Representative Phyllis Pond (R-New Haven) has been appointed to be a member of the State Fair Advisory Committee by House Speaker Patrick Bauer (D-South Bend). The State Fair Advisory Committee is one of many 2009 Interim Study Committees.

As a member of this committee, it is Rep. Pond's duties are as follows:

• Serve as a liaison to the State Fair Board and General Assembly.
• Review policies of the board, fairgrounds, fair, vendors, state, etc., to ensure the fair will best entertain and educate Hoosiers.
• Review the state fair budget for the state fair, the board and commission and report the finances to the General Assembly.
• Propose, review and make recommendations concerning legislation affecting the commission and the board.
