STATEHOUSE — “Watching Gov. Daniels’ final State of the State address tonight was less of a nostalgic farewell and more of a firm commitment to press forward and serve the public in the same manner the governor has done since his inauguration. His sense of urgency and absolute resolve to bring jobs to Indiana during his tenure mirrors not only my own desire to get Hoosiers back to work but that of all my fellow legislators. “Past policies to cap property taxes, rebuild our state’s infrastructure through the Major Moves initiative and lowering tax rates to create a friendly business climate have helped Indiana become one of the most robust economies in the nation. It is no surprise that these policies have spurred a 4.6 percent growth in our state’s GDP; making Indiana 3rd in the nation.” -30- |
