[r79] Homeowners Facing Foreclosure can 'Get Hope' with Free Workshops (8/19/2010)

Thursday, August 19, 2010

Start Date: 8/19/2010 All Day
End Date: 8/19/2010
With demand for home refinancing loans at its highest level in 15 months, Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman is encouraging Hoosiers to avoid foreclosure through free workshops.

Since 2007 the Indiana Foreclosure Prevention Network has assisted more than 75,000 troubled borrowers. The Indiana Foreclosure Prevention Network's phone-a-thon held last year led to a huge drop in foreclosure filings for the 3rd quarter. Face-to-face interaction could produce even better results as the borrower can leave the meeting with everything their lender needs in hand.

Free events to help Hoosiers avoid foreclosure will take place in eight cities on September 1st at National Guard Armories:

Stop by anytime between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. to attend a free workshop, speak with a counselor and begin preparing to meet with your lender. No registration is required.
