End Date: 7/9/2009

STATEHOUSE - Bids are being accepted for work on roads in Spencer and Warrick counties, state Rep. Suzanne Crouch (R-Evansville) said today. The roads will be resurfaced.

"I am glad to see federal stimulus money go to Spencer and Warrick counties to fix roads," said Rep. Crouch. "These projects will directly benefit our local communities. Hoosiers will be put to work, and travel on these roads will be smoother."

The Spencer County project, scheduled for completion by Nov. 30, involves Old State Road 45 from State Road 161 to South Street in Rockport.

Here are the Warrick County projects, all scheduled for completion by Nov. 30:

# On County Road 350 South from Casey Street to State Road 61.

# On Old State Road 66 from Yankeetown Road to the Warrick County Line.

# On County Road 25 West from State Road 66 to Old State Road 66.

# On County Road 1200 West between County Line Road and Bicycle Bridge Road.

According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, the request for bids is in anticipation of funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
