STATEHOUSE- Rep. Suzanne Crouch (R-Evansville) wanted to extend her appreciation to the Page Program and thank Sydney Lax for her years of service. The Page Program allows students to step out of the classroom for a day and visit downtown Indianapolis and the Statehouse to spend time with their district's state representative. For the past three years, Sydney Lax has traveled up to Indianapolis from F.J. Reitz High School in Evansville to spend the day helping out Rep. Crouch and learning about the legislative process. Sydney has assisted Rep. Crouch with duties such as filing paperwork, sorting constituent surveys and helping staff members with their day-to-day operations. Sydney is actively involved with her high school as well as her community. Since her freshman year, she has been a successful member of the track and cross country team. Sydney is also involved in the 4-H club, Vanderburgh County Youth Council, Fairboard, Scott Achievers and the Junior Leaders club. "Sydney is dedicated to her education, extracurricular activities and being a dynamic community leader," said Rep. Crouch. "Throughout the past three years, I have watched her grow into a responsible and professional young adult. If Sydney sets her heart and mind to it, I am confident she will succeed in her future endeavors. She will accomplish great things in life." |
