STATEHOUSE – The Salvation Army in the Evansville area is in need of more bell ringers this Christmas season. The organization is a week in to its Red Kettle campaign, but they need more volunteers in order to have maximum coverage across the city.

“The Salvation Army is a fantastic organization,” said Rep, Crouch (R-Evansville). “With so many needy families struggling to have a good Christmas, I want the Red Kettle campaign to be a great success."

A portion of the proceeds go towards purchasing toys and food for needy families during the holiday season.

“The Christmas holiday reminds us that it is better to give than to receive,” said Rep. Crouch. “Spare change adds up quickly. Before long, a few cents here and there turns in to a six figure receipt.”

Rep. Crouch will be volunteering as a bell ringer Wednesday, November 28, at Schnuck’s Grocery on Davis-Lant Drive, just off of North Green River Road.

Anyone interested in signing up to be a bell ringer should get in touch with Nancy Miller. You can contact her by phone at 812-204-3215 or by email at nmiller10@wowway.com.
