STATEHOUSE – State Rep. Suzanne Crouch (R-Evansville) was honored with the Champion of Small Business award from the National Coalition for Capital for her continued leadership and advocacy for small businesses. Rep. Crouch was one of 33 legislators and officials from across the nation recognized at the National Coalition for Capital awards ceremony on Aug. 8 in Chicago, Ill.

“I am honored to receive this award, but I am even more pleased that I have had the chance to positively impact our local and state economy,” said Rep. Crouch. “Small businesses employ more than 75 percent of Americans, and I believe it is key to our state’s success to support them in their business endeavors in order to create and retain jobs for Hoosiers.”

In her time in the Indiana General Assembly, Rep. Crouch has been recognized by local, state, and national organizations for her impact on fiscal and small business policy issues.

“This award recognizes Rep. Crouch’s important work to preserve and create jobs through access to capital policy that helps Indiana small businesses grow and develop,” said Michael Votta, President of the National Coalition for Capital. “Rep. Crouch has demonstrated she is a champion of small business, and her efforts will have an enduring positive impact on Indiana.”

“I look forward to continuing to support Hoosier small businesses and entrepreneurs,” said Rep. Crouch. “Indiana is leading the nation in job growth, and I know that with the General Assembly’s sustained efforts we can continue to take positive steps forward.”

The National Coalition for Capital hosts an annual awards ceremony during the week of the National Conference of State Legislatures Legislative Summit to recognize individuals for taking a leading role in fostering access to capital for small business and entrepreneurs.
