STATEHOUSE – Yesterday morning, the Arc of Indiana presented State Representative Suzanne Crouch (R-Evansville) with the 2012 Public Policy Award. The organization presents the award annually to a public official who “has made significant efforts to improve the lives of developmental disabilities and their families; and/or has made significant efforts to prevent disabilities.”

“I am truly humbled to receive this award,” said Rep. Crouch. “It is important to me to look out for the most vulnerable in our society and their families.”

The Arc of Indiana is an organization committed to people who have intellectual and other developmental disabilities, as well as their families.  They also work to develop public policy that will assist the disabled and their families in achieving their goals – living, learning, playing and working in their communities.

“The Arc of Indiana is an incredible advocacy group for people with disabilities,” said Rep. Crouch. “The work they do to empower people is so touching, and I am proud to support their efforts.”
