STATEHOUSE - Evansville will receive more than $2.6 million for the purchase of vehicles and other transportation equipment, state Rep. Suzanne Crouch (R-Evansville).
"I am pleased Evansville has been awarded more than $2.6 million to improve our public transportation system," said Rep. Crouch. "The Metropolitan Evansville Transportation System will greatly benefit from these new purchases, and as a result, better serve the public."
The federal grant money is from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. With this money, the City of Evansville will purchase:
