Rep. Crouch applauds company's expansion to Evansville

STATEHOUSE - Software and technology company SS&C Technologies announced this week that it would be opening a new Fund Administration and Technology Center in Evansville, Ind.

"This is a great opportunity for job growth in Evansville," said State Rep. Suzanne Crouch (R-Evansville). "Not only does it provide much needed jobs to our area, but it also stands as a testament to the competitiveness that Evansville and Indiana have in attracting businesses. The community and the state will be greatly impacted by the investment that SS&C Technologies has pledged, and I am so glad that they chose our great community."

According to Mayor Jonathan Weinzapfel, Evansville was in the running with several major Midwestern cities for the competitive venture, which cost SS&C about $3.9 million for the investment.

SS&C Technologies Chairman and CEO Bill Stone said that Evansville was chosen because of the strong partnerships the company has made with the city and the state and the talent and skills available in the area.

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation, states that SS&C Technologies will create more than 500 jobs for the area by 2014.

In a recent news release from the IEDC it was noted that SS&C Technologies, which has more than 1,400 associates in North America, Asia, Europe and Australia, plans to open operations starting in 2011, beginning the process of hiring accountants and account managers, as well as sales and operations positions.
