[R78] Crouch Capitol Connection: Thank you for letting me serve (11/18/2011)

Friday, November 18, 2011

Start Date: 11/18/2011
End Date: 11/18/2011

It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is just around the corner, but next week many of us will be spending time with family and friends and remembering that we have much to be thankful for. Things that can be taken for granted, such as a roof over our families’ heads, an abundance of food on the table for our Thanksgiving feast and the time we spend with people we love and care about are once again counted as blessings.

I have much to be thankful for, too. I’m thankful for and appreciate the opportunity that you have given me to serve you. To the voters and constituents that voted and continue to participate in the legislative process I’d like to say thank you.

This week, Sen. Vaneta Becker (R-Evansville) and I held open office hours at the Newburgh Central Library and at Oaklyn Library in Evansville. It is a great opportunity and also important to me to be open to hearing people’s questions and concerns. These office hours allow people to privately share their issues that we might be able to help with, instead of in a public forum like a town hall meeting.

I will continue to hold these open office hours in the future. I’m thankful for those that come because they bring attention to new issues that, with some work, could strengthen our communities.

Another way to address your concerns is to fill out the survey I send every year before session. I will let you know when it is available both online and has been mailed out to homes across District 78. By filling out the survey I can better represent you at the Statehouse when session begins in January.

I wish you all a safe and happy holiday season. As always, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact my Statehouse office at 317-232-9769 or by email at h78@in.gov
