“Gov. Daniels has excelled at bringing jobs to Indiana and keeping them here. Because of his fiscally responsible policies in a time when other states are running huge deficits, Indiana is now ranked the sixth best state for business and boasts a billion dollar surplus.
“One of our main goals as legislators and for the governor has been to get Hoosiers back to work. The reduction in corporate income taxes is just one of the many ways that the General Assembly and the governor have helped to bring nearly 150,000 high-paying jobs and $27.9 billion in investments to Indiana since 2005. Also, for many years Hoosiers and business owners in southwest Indiana have asked for better access to Indianapolis. Through the ambitious, long term Major Moves program the state has already been able to modernize 41 roadways and repair nearly 600 bridges across the state in addition to making great progress on the I-69 extension.
“Gov. Daniels set high standards for Indiana when he came into office, and because of that Hoosiers are prospering. Indiana is the envy of the nation for business environment and job creation.”
