STATEHOUSE — House Republican Speaker Brian C. Bosma (R-Indianapolis) has announced committee members for the Indiana House Republican caucus. Rep. Lloyd Arnold (R-Leavenworth) has been selected to serve as Vice Chairman of the Natural Resources Committee.

Committee chairmen and caucus leaders are selected biennially by the majority party after each election year.

“I am honored to serve the Legislature as Vice Chairman of the Natural Resources Committee, a committee that holds an important role in Indiana’s future,” said Rep. Arnold. “During my first session I look forward to gaining valuable experience so that I may best serve my community.”

In addition to being Vice Chairman, Rep. Arnold has also been selected as a member of the following committees:
Education
Roads and Transportation
Veterans Affairs and Public Safety

Standing committees are an integral part of the legislative process.  Committees with specific expertise receive public testimony and work out the details of proposed legislation before it is heard on the House floor.
“I am confident in the abilities of each of these leaders, and I know that they are each eager to begin their committee work and their leadership roles,” said Speaker Bosma.
